Opening of 'Cityscapes' by Rachel Ireland-Meyers
You could barely see the walls once everyone poured into the gallery for the opening of 'Cityscapes' on Friday evening! What a fantastic turnout. It was great to see so many people, both local and interstate, dropping in to celebrate the opening of this stunning collection of acrylic paintings of Hobart and its surrounds by Inka Member Rachel Ireland-Meyers
(See previous post to see which ones sold on the night!!!)
Some very familiar faces in the crowd...

Rachel is contributing 10% of all proceeds from purchased artworks to support the"Cuban Project". This is to help with travel expenses for four local Hobartians to study music and Cuban culture in Havana and Brazil for fourteen months. Upon their return, they will share their knowledge, experiences and musical talents with the broader Hobart community.
